Jul 8, 2008 12oz bottle: Sunset orange pour with a wispy head that creates a skim-thin top. An inviting mix of floral hops and toffee laden malts greet the nose. The malts take the forefront in the body, with a deeper caramel complexity that is balanced by a decent citrus hoppiness. Nothing too crazy here - this is a solid APA that would go down easy during the hot summer months.

Jul 4, 2008 Pours medium amber from 12 oz bottle, forms small beige foamy head, which dissipated quickly. Aroma of light hops, peppery flowers. Flavour is of sweet malted hops, flowers and pepper corns with a lovely smoothness. The beer is somewhat creamy with a floral hoppiness. What a nice pale ale! Would love to try on tap.

Jun 30, 2008 Pours a nice light orange with little to no head. The nose is very nice. Hoppy and fruity with a nice bread (yeasty) quality. Easy to drink with nice balance and that nice bitterness at the end.

Jun 28, 2008 Bottle. Pours dark gold with a large foamy head. Sweet aroma of hops and a little citrus. Smooth and light to the plate. Nice hop taste with a slightly bitter finish.

Jun 25, 2008 12 oz bottle from Mass Beverage Lawrence, KS. Pours a copper color with a creamy off white head. Nose is very light with lemons, caramel, and toffee malts and a touch of grass. Smooth and slick body. Sweet caramel and toffee malts dominate the palate with herbal and grassy flavors in the finish. Hops are faded in the end and detract from the flavor.

Jun 21, 2008 12oz bottle. Poured a clear orange/copper with a medium-sized, off-white head. The aroma was hoppy with some sweet malt character. The flavor followed the aroma - malty with a touch of crystal malt sweetness and with a good dose of hop flavor. The hop flavor was sweet and citrusy (cascade?). The finish was somewhat dry with a bready malt character and a firm citrus-hop bitterness - but not overwhelming. A very balanced hoppiness with the right amount of residual sweetness to keep the hops in check. The mouthfeel was brisk and strongly carbonated with a medium-full body that feels like frothed, bold coffee in texture. Overall, a very pleasant American Pale Ale.

Jun 20, 2008 Pours orangey-golad, big rocky head on top, good lacing. Aroma is sweet caramel malts, yeast, and typical PNW hops. Flavor is mild, hops actually less prominent than many in this style. Caramel and pale malts take the forefront. Ending is somewhat thin, and flavor drops off sharply. It’s nice to have an APA with less emphasis on the hops, and this beer definitely scores points for balance.
