Commercial Description:
Jackman's American Pale Ale is brewed true to the style - medium-bodied, crisp and refreshing, with plenty of hop flavor and hop aroma. It's noticeable hop bitterness is contrasted by the spicy and floral characteristics of the highest quality hops grown in the U.S.

Hazy deep blond color. Some cereals aroma and flavor, some caramel, dryish, not very interesting.

Hazy light amber color; creamy head. Smells like the hair of a blonde Swedish girl, some malt and vanilla. Medium body structure, some malt flavor, correct bitterness, but without thrills. Atypical for an American Pale Ale.

This is a pretty decent beer,, not what I was expecting at all. Very nice hoppy and malty aroma, mostly sweet malt. Taste is malty, a little bitter, but very balanced. Finish is a little too grassy and bitter compared to the balanced body and aroma- it’s just a strange way to finish. This is a good session beer.

12oz. bottle into lager glass. Pours a cloudy gold color with a thin white head that dissipates quickly. Aroma is of floral notes, citrus fruit and some hops. Flavor is very bitter hops with a hint of grapefruit. Has a light mouthfeel. Average at best.

Cold 12oz bottle: Pours a clear medium orange color with a thin layer of alabaster bubbles with some around the edges. Aroma is of sweet malts, light fruits (apples), and grass. Taste is of light malts, grassy hops, and light fruits. Light to medium bodied and smooth with good carbonation. Ending is of grassy hops into brown sugar notes.

Nice pour into a pint glass with a nice head and a bronze color. Light hoppy aroma. The beer has a dry hoppy taste and aftertaste. Its aftertast leaves you thirsty, which is not a bad thing!

Pours an amber color with an off-white head. Aroma is of citrus and pine hops, and plenty of caramel malts to back it up. Flavor is the same but it’s not as thick as I would like it to be. Flavor doesn’t linger very long either. This brew is alright but not what I was hoping for.

(Bottle, Oliver Twist, Stockholm) Amber colour with frothy, white head. Fruity, floral nose with orange peel and grapefruit. Fruity, hoppy taste with notes of orange, grapefruit, mandarin and caramel. Nice citrussy hop character, but not really bitter, with a fairly short finish. Balanced, tasty and nice.

Had this beer on 5/7/1999. Color is a bright deep gold with a lot for sediment flouting around in it. Carbonation and head are low. Aroma is a nice citrus hop scent. Taste is hoppy and bitter. it starts with a light medium body and a good hop flavor that comes on right at the start. This goes down with a crisp and refreshing feel. The finish is a light malt flavor followed by a nice hop flavor and a good hop bitterness. Although it is a very well balanced and a good tasting Pale Ale the amount of sediment is way too high for me. I would rate it higher if there were less sediment or if it wasn’t so like chunky.
