Commercial Description:
Jackman's American Pale Ale is brewed true to the style - medium-bodied, crisp and refreshing, with plenty of hop flavor and hop aroma. It's noticeable hop bitterness is contrasted by the spicy and floral characteristics of the highest quality hops grown in the U.S.

(Bottle, Oliver Twist, Stockholm) Amber colour with frothy, white head. Fruity, floral nose with orange peel and grapefruit. Fruity, hoppy taste with notes of orange, grapefruit, mandarin and caramel. Nice citrussy hop character, but not really bitter, with a fairly short finish. Balanced, tasty and nice.

Had this beer on 5/7/1999. Color is a bright deep gold with a lot for sediment flouting around in it. Carbonation and head are low. Aroma is a nice citrus hop scent. Taste is hoppy and bitter. it starts with a light medium body and a good hop flavor that comes on right at the start. This goes down with a crisp and refreshing feel. The finish is a light malt flavor followed by a nice hop flavor and a good hop bitterness. Although it is a very well balanced and a good tasting Pale Ale the amount of sediment is way too high for me. I would rate it higher if there were less sediment or if it wasn’t so like chunky.

Bottle at "Stockholm Beer & Whiskey Festival 2007". Clear amber - white head. Amber malts, caramel, bisquit, "Knækbrød" berries, red berries, sweet malty, light hoppy. OK. --------&# Again at Oliver Twist (The day after). Grassy, pine, caramel, malty sweetness, medium hoppy, medium carbonated, light vegetables. Mild round mouthfeeling. Same rating-values !!!

(Bottle) Pours an even light amber color with a white head. Sweet malt and light hops in the aroma. Taste is similar, with a burst of fresh hop notes near the end. Pleasant aftertaste. Somewhat astringent throughout. Average mouthfeel and palate.

Bottle. Amber with white head. Quite thin but good anyway. Metallic. Hops and apricot? Nice finish with some hops.

Amber color, persistent off-white head. Somewhat hoppy, but standard american pale ale. A bit of a metallic finish.

A little malty and yeasty in aroma. Cloudy iced tea look. Now I think I smell chocolate in the olfactory. Mild creamy carbonation. Finish is hops all the way, not as much as IPA but certainly leaves a bitter lasting finish that attacks for a few minutes.....
