Commercial Description:
Jackman's American Pale Ale is brewed true to the style - medium-bodied, crisp and refreshing, with plenty of hop flavor and hop aroma. It's noticeable hop bitterness is contrasted by the spicy and floral characteristics of the highest quality hops grown in the U.S.

Good American pale ale. The hops are not as noticeable as other pales. Not bitter at all pulling it away from IPA’s. Comes with a light white head and a lighter body than most pales, with a minor hop aroma.

Cloudy yellow-amber w/ off-white ring of frothy foam. Hoppy aroma of citrus (orange, tangerine) w/ background of caramel & toffee. Sticky feel. Balanced, malty flavour w/ a semi-sweet finish.

Pour is a orange with a small white head. Aroma is a nice mix of citrus hops with some well balanced malts. Flavor is some of the same. Very piney hops with some smoky malts. A average examle of the style and something that is middle of the road as you can get. Its still kinda tasty.

Pours a light amber with mdium thick off-white head that lingers awhile, then reduces to okay lacing, Aroma is a muted hoppy citrus, mostly grapefruit and oranges, with a hint of malt. Mouthfeel was fairly flat, due to the slightly thin body, and the flavor again picked up the hoppy fruit and malty sweetness, leading to an average finish, although I would have expected more bitter than I found in this. Not a bad beer, just nothing great.

This beer poured a dirty blonde color, with a haziness that made me suspect that I wouldn’t enjoy this beer too much. Aroma was malty, and flavor was a sweet maltiness with only a hint of hops. This wasn’t what I was expecting from an American Pale Ale, and I really didn’t enjoy it. I may have gotten an old beer, but there is no date code on this beer, so I have no way of knowing its age and it gets what it gets...

Bottled 05-18-07. Clear orange-amber beneath a large and lasting foam. Aroma is grapefruit hops sweetened with some clean malt. Taste is a nice balance of the same, with more malt upfront that transitions slowly to more hops on the back end. Palate is smooth, watery, light-bodied and a little bit dry and tingly. Could pass for a mild IPA.
