Commercial Description:
Jackman's American Pale Ale is brewed true to the style - medium-bodied, crisp and refreshing, with plenty of hop flavor and hop aroma. It's noticeable hop bitterness is contrasted by the spicy and floral characteristics of the highest quality hops grown in the U.S.

Botte pours rich golden color with a frothy head. Aroma is hoppy with a touch of citrius. Flavor is largely malty with a bit of hop bitterness. Short finish with a bit of malt and hop flavor. Not bad.

355ml bottle (Pikkulintu, Helsinki , American Week 2007). Typical unsophisticated US ale aroma. Bitter stickiness in the taste, very bitter, but not a recognisably hoppy bitterness. Drinkable, but too many nasty features to make me want to drink a second one. Or even a whole one.

This beer pours a golden amber color with a nice head to it. Im picking up mild fruit smells to it with hints of malt and hops. When you first sip it there is a strong initial bite to it of hops. It also stays very hoppy as you drink it. There is amild hit of bitterness that sticks around in the back of your mouth as you drink it.

A hint of pine hiding behind a light citrus aroma starts this beer off, it pours a honey color, with about a half inch of head sticking around. The flavor is a citrus and pine burst, followed by a hint of sweetness. Very short finish, this would make a nice session ale.

Clear orange, moderate head, decent lacing and retention. Aroma is typical PNW goodness... pine, grapefruit, citrus with usual caramel backing. Light bodied, but the hop flavors are really simple but good. Moderate bitterness.

Aroma of grass and citrus. Leans more to sweet than bitter with prominent malt. Subdued hops- faint notes of lemon and grass. A little creaminess to the texture, light body.

12 oz. bottle. Pours a slightly hazy orange with seemingly light body, little to no white head, and medium carbonation activity. The aroma is definitely dominated by a mostly floral scent with a hint of hops. The taste starts out with nice grass and lemony undertones, and then quickly dives into this metallic bitterness that isn’t to my liking at all. It’s somewhat bitter and puckers the tongue quite a bit. The ending doesn’t provide the balance I needed to make this beer better.
