Commercial Description:
Jackman's American Pale Ale is brewed true to the style - medium-bodied, crisp and refreshing, with plenty of hop flavor and hop aroma. It's noticeable hop bitterness is contrasted by the spicy and floral characteristics of the highest quality hops grown in the U.S.

Tap @ FS DT HOU: Pours a very pale watery cleap yellow color. Good sized watery head, diminishing. Very hoppy aroma, the acidic kind, but not much else. Balanced malty, hoppy taste. Sweet & bitter and a semi-sweet clean aftertaste. Kinda watery & not too complex, but tasty.

pors a dark yellow with a one finger white head that does not last to long. has a light body, small lacing, and nice carbonation. smell is of light hops, small citrus, and small caramel. flavor is hops with lemon and a little caramel. little watered down especially the aftertaste. not bad an average apa.

Bottled BB 06-26-06. Pours a hazy orangey reddy gold. Visible sediment in bottle? Very excitable carb which pours to leave a rocky white head. Little lacing. My first immpessions are a beer far from its best. There is a definite acetic quality to this beer that makes me think its a bit old or maybe a bad bottle. Definitely has the making of something nice though. Citrussy orange aroma, with apples too. very little malt at this stage. Flavor has that definite vinegar tang which spoils what seems to be a well hopped, crisp refreshing beer. Mouthfeel is nice. I would like to try this again if its in better nick but i wont be reaching for it again. RE-RATE - Tasted fresh from the brewery at at a festival and it was tons better - fruitier and fresher.

Pours a light copper color with a mildly explosive white head. Aroma is citrus hops and not a lot else. The flavor is of earthy, leafy hops, but it’s pretty mild, and I can taste a good deal of breadiness and generic "beer" flavor. Mouthfeel is barely carbonated, not quite what I expected. I didn’t let it sit THAT long. The finish is soft, and it leaves a malty, bready aftertaste. This beer isn’t so hot, but might be a good introduction for beergeekery neophytes.

This stuff is pretty damn hoppy, maybe a little to much....is a tan rust colour, OK lacing...an average beer but nothing to rave about, at least my leg ain’t broke... rerate: nice stuff..I forgot I had had this before but was surprised by the drink...good lacing...some nice slight pine-honey smell...Better than I expected from left hand...respect!.. scores changed accordingly..

(Bottle) Pours hazy dark orange. Hoppy aroma with grassy and flowery hints. Malty sweetness. Pineapple, tangerine and some other fruits. Surprisingly sweet, malty and fruity flavour. Light bitter hops in aftertaste. Some more bitterness would do this beer justice. Light body.

hoppy aroma, taste like carbonated spring water and some hops thrown in very weak. this a good beer for a light beer drinker or a bud drinker that needs an upgrade

The 12 ounce bottle poured a slightly hazy light copper colored beverage with a small creamy white head that was mostly diminishing but left good lacing on the glass. The aroma was well balanced for the style. There was a dominant floral and spice hop character overlaying a more subtle roasted grain malt background. The beer had a good medium body accompanied by a respectable carbonation level and crisp texture. The flavor started off lightly bitter with a respectable hop backbone. The finish was medium long with the level of hop bitterness staying consistent throughout.
