Commercial Description:
Jackman's American Pale Ale is brewed true to the style - medium-bodied, crisp and refreshing, with plenty of hop flavor and hop aroma. It's noticeable hop bitterness is contrasted by the spicy and floral characteristics of the highest quality hops grown in the U.S.

12oz bottle. Hazy, amber copper hue. Moldy white head. Citrusy, bready nose. Caramel and citrus hops aroma. Medium bodied and rather smooth. Light bready malt flavors. Finish is sweet and citrusy. Fruity flavors. Lingering dryness. Grapefruit and sugary. Session.

Reddish hue, thin head which leaves a nice lacing. Very crisp and yet smooth. No outstand flavors, but still quite good. could be a nice session beer.

Pours a cloudy pale orange with a thick white head. Aroma is of citrus: oranges, lemons, pineapple. Taste is typical of an APA citrus hops up front followed by a crisp bite for the finish. Very enjoyable beer.

Bottle: Pours golden in color with a small white head. Smells somewhat sweet, but not overpowering. I sense just a bit of orange and a touch of pine as well. Taste is slightly different than the smell leads one to. Taste a bit harsher on the piney side, with almost no orange notes on the tongue. Has a bit high carbonation.

This is an OK APA. I was a bit dissappointed in the amount of hop-bittering. Finished dry.

Pour orange with quite a bit of head. Aromas has tropical citrus and touches of pine, light grassiness and just a little matl. Medium body with some sharp carbonation on the finish. Taste has bitter citrus and cardboard with light malt in the background. The finish brings out some spiciness, but cardboard is still there. Adequate at best.

Too much malt, lack of hops, and a doughy, chalkiness that comes accross bland to me, sort of like smuttynose PA shoals.
