It poured a 1/2 inch foam which quickly disappeared. This pale ale started with a crisp taste of honey and ended just as quickly. This beers flavor just had no staying power. Fair at best. zer0crew (60), Duluth, Minnesota, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 28, 2009 Bottle. Pours a slightly hazy copper color with a little bit of head that quickly dissipates to a thin ring of foam. Has a definite smell of hops. A short, simple after taste. curly (598), Nashville, Tennessee, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | May 21, 2009 Clear amber pour with a thick frothy beige head. Aroma is sweet caramel and some orange. Overall kind of weak in taste, definitely watery. Malt is more present than hop, easy drinker. ScottyP (314), Brentwood, Tennessee, USA

Nothing really jumps out here, but a slight bitter finish. Average APA. dkachur (2369), Charlottesville, Virginia, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | May 16, 2009 12 ounce bottle from Vintage Cellar in Blacksburg, VA. Pours a medium amber color with a medium head. Decent head retention and good lacing. Aroma of light toffee and faint muted hops. Taste is caramel, fruity notes, citrus, toffee and stale hops. Medium bodied. Drink4Satan (586), Bristol, Rhode Island, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | May 13, 2009 Pours a heavily particulated orange/copper colour with a sudsy off-white head that leaves nice rings of lace. The nose is caramel, spicy and floral NW hops (?), and spruce. I’d like to drink this in a cedar closet to complement the nose. The flavour brings a similar intensity of caramel, which is not very intense, along with some soapy, piney and floral notes. The mouthfeel is a little chalky, but otherwise medium-bodied, smooth and fitting for the flavour profile. Great lacing. Butters (1652), Virginia, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | May 2, 2009 Bottle pours a clear amber with no real head at all. Weak light hop aroma. Flavor is floral hops with a balance of toasted malt. clean and crisp, but a little sticky as well. I found it to be nicely balanced and a good intro for a non-craft drinker. | 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Apr 30, 2009 A crystal clear, medium golden-amber colored body is topped with a fleeting head of spongy, off-white froth. Ultra-sticky cobweb sheeting coats the majority of the glass. The nose is really heavy on sweet crystal malt and caramel, with hints of toasted bread underneath a lightly peppery, floral hop overtone. Flavors are intensely sweet for the style, not nealr balanced enough as the caramel malt dominates all else. Faded floral hops and traces of pepper and citrus strugge to keep up. Syrupy in the mouth, the palate borders on sickeningly sweet. Not a good pale ale. Tons of sugar and not much else.
