Commercial Description:
Jackman's American Pale Ale is brewed true to the style - medium-bodied, crisp and refreshing, with plenty of hop flavor and hop aroma. It's noticeable hop bitterness is contrasted by the spicy and floral characteristics of the highest quality hops grown in the U.S.

Sweet malty aroma with a tinge of hops. Tea color with a thinnish white head. Thin and watery with too little hops to even be a mildy good pale ale.

Clear amber appearance with a tiny head and minimal lacing. Flowery aroma, slightly pungent, with a grapefruit/citrus edge. Fairly well balanced with a pleasant hoppy taste followed by the fruity sweetness of the barley. Moderately bitter finish does not linger very long.

Pour is clear orangey amber with a dense tight bubbled off white head...tons of citrus hoppiness in the nose...not much maltiness at first, but definately still some subtle sweetness...hop citrus and bitter finish...

Rich golden color with a moderate head, moderate carbonation in body. Aroma includes grape, flowers and a touch of clove in the early going. The flavor is definitely on the sweet side, to my liking, with rather bright hops giving some citrus and some perfume, a bit of pepper, some cilantro perhaps, but overall a very sympathetic and drinkable set of flavors. Average palate, somewhat oily with the sweetness, the carbonation being relatively subdued but never flat. Some bitterness builds as it warms, appearing in the lingering late finish as an astringency on the front part of my tongue. Well done pale ale, pretty enjoyable.

Sweet hoppy aroma. Clean, malty, citrus flavor. Some graininess. Nothing wrong with this one. Smooth and easy to drink.

Clear copper with a medium off-white head. Light aroma of floral hops and caramel. Flavor has notes of sweet malt, honey, caramel , some toastiness and a slight touch of hop bitterness in the finish. Medium body, very smooth texture and moderate carbonation. Some lacing left on the glass, pretty good head retention. Not bad but it doesn’t stand out at all.

Bottle. Average frothy off white and lasting head. Good lacing. Hazy body that is lightly cloudy and light orange brown in color. Aroma is light malt, cookie. Average hops, herbs and lemon. Lightly yeasty. Body is light and sticky with soft carbonation and a metallic finish. Flavor is short in duration, moderatly sweet, moderately acidic, and moderately bitter. Not a big fan of the style I guess. Has some things I enjoy, but is missing something.
