Clear copper gold body topped by a decent, fine-bubbled white head that recedes to cover with some marginal lacing. Cookie dough, leafy hop flavour with moderate balancing bitterness. Medium-light body with fair carbonation. Simple and enjoyable. Sampled at Mondial de la Bière 2005. TheBeerOrg (1589), Kentucky, USA

Aroma of citrus, honey, and pine. Taste has an inital hop spiciness which recedes into a mellow malt finish. Medium body with a less of a hop bite than most APAs. Very well balanced, but not extraordinary. Would be a good beer to introduce hoppiness to a neophyte. Gmku (255), Asheville, North Carolina, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 5/5 | 12/20 | Jun 8, 2005 An average pale. A bit disappointing for anyone looking for hops. Easy to drink but not very satisfying, ultimately. VTHopHead (934), Barre, Vermont, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 4, 2005 Bottle - Pours a dark amber in color with a foamy white head that quickly faded to the rim of the glass. Aroma is malty with a floral hops undertone. Hops were not as prominent as I had hoped given the "comercial description". Flavor is also malty (bisquit malt?) with a disappointingly mild hop bitterness and flavor. Not enough hops for a pale ale, but an easy drinking beer. Finishes, finally, with some lingering hop bitterness. sfontain (507), Columbus, Ohio, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | May 24, 2005 Orange/amber like scotch with a small, off-white, wimpy bubbly head. Aroma is pretty mild, with lots of fruity fumes and otherwise just nondescript malts. Flavor has an unexpectedly heavy malt character for the style; bread, cookie; very low in the hops department; slight wheat aftertaste. Medium-bodied but undercarbonated. I would be tempted to peg this more as an amber than an APA. Overall this is a very tame beer; I’m trying to avoid the word "weak" because what is here is good, it just needs more of it. kms399 (267), plymouth, Minnesota, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | May 14, 2005 Pretty much your basic pale ale. This would be a great session beer. Light brown in color. Nice earthy hop taste with good malty tones. Decent stuff. Crosling (1856), Loveland, Colorado, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | May 7, 2005 Shining gold color. Well balanced nose, malt accented, with hints of honey and butter toffee, and a touch of hops. Flavor is very balanced, malt accented, nutty and full of toffee and caramel flavors with light hops on the finish. I’ll be honest, I like this beer and I imagine it would be even better with more substancial hop additions.
