Sincere (145), wichita, Kansas, USA Apr 22, 2007 12 oz. bottle. Pours a slightly hazy orange with seemingly light body, little to no white head, and medium carbonation activity. The aroma is definitely dominated by a mostly floral scent with a hint of hops. The taste starts out with nice grass and lemony undertones, and then quickly dives into this metallic bitterness that isn’t to my liking at all. It’s somewhat bitter and puckers the tongue quite a bit. The ending doesn’t provide the balance I needed to make this beer better.
jimmay (47), Waterloo, Ontario, Canada Jan 2, 2009 Bottle from Premier Gourmet. Pours copper in colour, almost a little cloudy. Off-white head, leaving some nice lacing. Hoppy, floral aroma. Very good to style. Ethereal (1167), London, Greater London, England Jan 1, 2009 Bottle from GBBF, drunk 28th Sept 08. Golden amber colour with a bit of white head. Slightly choccy, biscuity malt with light hopping. Drinkable palate, not that dry. I really enjoyed this. fidelis83 (227), Clinton, Iowa, USA Dec 31, 2008 Pours slightly hazy amber with a 2 finger chunky light beige head with good retention and sparse lacing. Aroma is lots of caramel malts, toffee, straw, lots of citrus, pine hops. Flavor caramel malt, chewy white bread malts, a hint of toffee. Pine hops are most prevailant with some floral and a very low level of citrus. Finish is floury pastry crust, pine hops and toffee, only a little bitter. Body is crisp light and smooth. Flavor doesn’t live up to the aroma and is pretty weak in body and abv but is a smooth and crisp take on the style that would make a great session. Tripplebrew (305), Saint Paul, Minnesota, USA Dec 16, 2008 Pours a light hazy honey, golden yellow with thick white head with a fair layer of white head. Aroma is largely floral with honey. Flavor is floral/grassy with slightly sugared hops. Body is light with a watered down carbonation. Soonah (562), Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA Dec 16, 2008 Standard copper pour with a two finger tall off white head that provided streaks of lacing. The aroma was light citrus and heavy floral hops. Almost soapy. The flavor was very light malt struggling against light citrus with pine, floral and soap crashing down. Average mouthfeel. Not a bad beer, the floral hops are just a bit out of whack.
