skibumphishead (180), USA Nov 6, 2009 This is my first beer rating in my new house! Believe it or not, I know live on PORTER ROAD. I picked up this Left Hand mix 12pack at one of 2 good beer stores nearby. I now have a store on my drive home that stocks Founders, Left Hand, Alesmith, and many Belgians. This beer is refreshing with just a hint of ginger and almost no hops. I would have liked it better if they bumped up the ginger and hop flavs. This is still enjoyable with a crisp finish. I think that it cleared up my cough too. Ha zer0crew (55), Duluth, Minnesota, USA Nov 2, 2009 Bottle. Pours a clear copper, no real head, but does have some nice lacing. Taste is very light, crisp and a tiny bit dry. Smell is a bit sweet, with hints of citrus and ginger. After taste is a bit bland and watery; actually reminds me of the last 1/3rd of a can of semi-warm Keystone 22415brewery (57), redmond, Washington, USA Oct 26, 2009 Can I say first that I really wanted to like this beer? Purchased a 4 pack at the local bottle shop, poured into a bell glass with a nice 1 inch head. Nice aroma of ginger and touch of citrus. Incredibly effervescent which combined with the ginger flavor gives a sharp acrid ’bite’ to the finish. The extra light body only adds to the astringency. Interesting to try this one once, and it might go really well with spicy thai food. Slipstream (734), USA Oct 21, 2009 Nice floral hop aroma with a bit of citrus and ginger. The flavor is nice enough, but this is a pretty lightweight brew. I don’t taste much ginger, but there is a little spice livening up this non-descript, average light ale. bozoNZ (481), Christchurch, New Zealand Oct 14, 2009 Copper/bronze faint ginger/floral perfume. Quite an earthy ginger flavour. Not real heat nor any sweetness of note. Description of a pale ale with ginger is very accurate. Dry any a slight papery finish. rds (224), USA Oct 8, 2009 Cloudy pale golden brew with a negligible wisp of a head, sweet aroma, a little down on carbonation but a nice idea. dmtroyer (407), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA Oct 8, 2009 12oz. Pours a light amber with a nice fluffy white head depending on your pouring style. Nose is a bit muted when cold, but as it warms up there are some nice fruity malts that come through, but nothing I could distinguish as ginger. I was surprised in the flavor profile how muted the ginger was, but the more I drank the more I appreciated that fact (have you ever had ginger lemonade? uggh). Some slight spice and citrus and lovely caramel malt. The palate is easily the best part. Moderate carbonation, and a VERY dry finish. Would do very well with food for this fact, I can’t get over how dry and lovely it is! Not what I expected, but I was pleasantly surprised nonetheless, I could drink this all the time. Lagunitasfan (432), San Diego, California, USA Sep 30, 2009 22 oz bottle. Not sure what i expected, and not sure what I got. Enjoyed in Estes Park, CO. Hazy pink amber with big white head. I guess the nose is kinda ginger. I guess the flavor is kinda gingery too. Maybe malty. I feel like I need to try this again some other time, but not so sure I need to try this again some other time.
