| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 14/20 | Nov 4, 2007 explosive ginger aroma, some lemon. pours a sparse 2 finger head out of the bottle that quickly settles and leaves nearly nothing on the glass. while the ginger is strong and fiercely present throughout, it is not spicy, has no bite, and would compliment many foods. bubbleflubber (896), Collinsville, Virginia, USA
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 6/20 | Oct 26, 2007 An APA, this isn’t... I agree with others that it needs to be changed categorically. Although it won’t affect my rating, as I’m not a big fan of it to begin with, an herb/veg/spice brew fits this profile much better. On to the rating... Pours an orange timbre, with a velvety fluffed head that retains decently. The nose does contain that ginger ale essence that seems comforting. That’s about where the nostalgia ends. The flavors are dry and quite underwhelming. The finish and body are totally out of whack with one another. The effervescence of ginger is very obvious, along with notes of cinnamon and pumpkin spices. But for such a bold aromatic throughput, the mouthfeel is weak and watery, and the flavors are seltzery and quite non-existant. It almost tastes like a Michelob Ultra with ginger extract... pale malt or not, you’ve got to get some substance in there. This is weak.... a trial at a nuance brew, but overall, a failure. Not impressed. clueo (112), Pennsylvania, USA
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 7/20 | Oct 26, 2007 Nice golden color with a nice head and medium translucense. The ginger flavor is very stong and a bit overpowering if you don’t love ginger. Clean finish and a light beer. davidlm85 (4), USA does not count | 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 2/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Oct 24, 2007 nice head, cloudy amber color. i really like the flavor and the scent just enough ginger. it probaqbly should be a vegetable beer categoricaly. daniele (1728), Italy

| 1.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 5/20 | Oct 20, 2007 Okay, for the record, *please* change the category to "vegetable" beer. As a Pale Ale, it’s just nasty, but as a Veggie, it’s not *that* bad.
So as a Pale, yeah, it sucks. I was hoping for Siletz’s Ginger Porter, which was amazing. This reminds me of a V-8 that’s gone bad.
This’ll be short: Aroma is of V-8 minus the tomatoes. Appearance is bland. amber color with no head and no lace. Flavor is veggie with a hint of ginger, or more fairly, a pale with V-8 minus the tomato. Palate is bland, perhaps cloying, and completely devoid of any ginger crisp/spicy/cleansing properties. Overall, skip this completely. It has no redeeming qualities. alexsdad06 (1090), Ohio, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Oct 18, 2007 12 oz. bottle. Pours a slightly hazy golden color with a smallish white head that doesn’t last long. The aroma is fairly benign with only hints of pale malt and some ginger being present. The flavor has slight citrus to go along with ginger and biscuits. Light watery body, not much to the finish.
