Commercial Description:
Ingredients: Water; Malted barley; Ginger root; Hops; Yeast.
Our beer is basically a pale ale brewed from a relative low gravity, with some of the hops which would normally be used in the beer replaced by freshly ground ginger root. The beer is light in body, lower in alcohol, has a distinct ginger aroma, and has a very crisp finish. It was initially brewed as a refreshing alternative to the plethora of wheat beers which are popular in the summertime. Popular demand turned it into a year round beer.

12 oz. bottle. Pours a slightly hazy golden color with a smallish white head that doesn’t last long. The aroma is fairly benign with only hints of pale malt and some ginger being present. The flavor has slight citrus to go along with ginger and biscuits. Light watery body, not much to the finish.

(Bottle) Pours a dark golden color with a small white, yet persistent, head. Aroma of ginger and sweet malt. Maybe some cinnamon as well. Moderate ginger flavor in the taste, but well crafted and balanced. Moderately strong carbonation and average palate. Sweet hoppy finish. A ginger beer is a hard beer to get ’right’, and I imagine that very few ginger beers are as well balanced as this one.

Had this beer on 4/22/2003. Aroma has a faint ginger scent. Color is a deep gold with good carbonation and thin head. Taste is light with a somewhat strong after taste of ginger.

Bottled. Clear amber with off white head. Aroma definately has ginger in it. The taste also has strong ginger. Not surprissing given the name but not sure how well it works. It is refreshing but could use with a bit more complexity and body.

22oz bottle-An orangish golden body with a decent head that dissipates quickly. Aroma of ginger and malts. Taste of ginger along with an overall pale ale taste. Not bad but was expecting more ginger.

This is one of the most unusual beers I’ve ever tasted....head dissipates very quickly...dark orange color, light off white foam...crazy ginger aroma, quite pungent, wow!...pure ginger flavor, its like drinking pure ginger, liquid ginger, very one dimensional...this beer without food rocks with a clove ...absolute perfect paring!

Very good, fine yellowish head leaving lace over orange-golden beer. Sharpish spicy nose, undoubtedly ginger, slightly toasted; also - palmnut oil as in moambe sauce? Again outspoken spicy-gingery taste. Drank ginger tea once - close; id. with sugar-preserved ginger Cambodian style. Still - this is beer, nè? Light & refreshing, which was more than probably the idea. Not really bad, but very unidimensional. If 20 more beers like this turn up alike, I’ll end hating ginger as much as I do coriander...
