It’s a bit biscuity, quite clean in the mouth, some candy sugar. A little bit hard in the mouth compared with the Tipples Ginger I had the week before. Still, I’m a bit of a fan of ginger flavoured beers and this isn’t bad. Joeh (1908), Buckinghamshire, England

Aroma dominated by ginger but it is not overpowering. Sweet malt with plenty of ginger to taste. Nothing horrible about it but not a beer I wan’t to try again. goozen (1102), Leiden, Netherlands

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jul 31, 2007 From bottle at The Rake, London. Hazy, orangey golden with a medium, frothy head. Ginger as well as fruit is very present in the nose. Fruity flavours with quite overpowering ginger. Well-carbonated, medium body. Refreshing enough, but a bit one-dimensional. | 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Jul 28, 2007 Bready sweet ginger smell. Decent smell but honestly nothing great. The beer looks, as cliche as it might sound, like Ginger Ale. A very carbonated beer. Wow, as I am drinking this beer the ginger really comes out at me. I appreciate this because this ginger doesn’t taste so artificial . The flavor is a little weak though. It hits my tastebuds and then qucikly fades away. Decent beer for its Ginger flavor. | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jul 28, 2007 hazy bronze-orange colour with a solid firm creamy head; beautiful lace; a fair amount of fruity hops (apricot comes to mind) play well together with the subtles ginger notes; soft mouthfeel, a medium malt body, some sweetness and a decent bitterness; fruity, hoppy finish with some yeasty notes and where the ginger becomes more apparent - balanced and very good wcampbell (584), Central, South Carolina, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 28, 2007 I liked this one and appreciated the different taste. The ginger makes this a unique beer slightly unlike anything I have had before. The flavor is not overwhelming, it may be too mild. Very refreshing. MesandSim (5958), London, Greater London, England

33cl bottle from the Rake. Dark blonde colour with an inch thick head that drops to nothing in 30 seconds. Slightly hoppy nose with plenty of ginger. Flavour is a dull gingery blonde with a near instant finish. Watery palate. Yawns...
