I don’t have my notes, only my rating...but I do recall the ginger was not overwhelming at all...in fact, maybe too subtle? fishingnet (1047), Brandon, Florida, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Jul 25, 2007 Bottle. Pours a clear golden with a one finger lasting white head that leaves good lacing. Aroma of ginger snaps. Taste is ginger and a hint of sweet malt. Thin mouthfeel with a mild amount of bitterness. A little thin on the mouthfeel but still tasty. jbuzz (661), South Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jul 25, 2007 The aroma is fantastic (as long as you like Ginger). The initial drink left me coughing, I had breathed in to much of the ginger. But the taste was terrific. Any more Ginger it would have been to strong any less would have left the beer indifferent. | 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jul 23, 2007 Bottle. Orange blonde, hazy. Ginger and citrus in the aroma. Ginger, orange marmalade in the flavor. Some distant flowery hops, revealing themselves in the aftertaste. I don’t like ginger, but the aroma is nice. beerbill (1973), Laurel, New York, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Jul 14, 2007 12 oz. bottle, bottled on 1/31/2007 and consumed 7/14/2007. Pours a hazy gold with a small white head that lasted through most of the glass. Light, pleasant aroma of hops and a bit of lemons. No ginger in the nose. The flavor was a little sweet with some caramel, hops, and a bit of lemon. Again, no ginger. I asked my wife, who loves ginger, to try it, and she did not smell or taste any ginger either. Some hops bitterness at the finish. If I had not known there was ginger in this beer, I would have thought it was a slightly sweet pale ale. If I get an opportunity to try this one again, I’ll give it a shot and re-rate it, but as it stands, this beer was a disappointment. jbrus (4895), Delft, Netherlands
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Jul 12, 2007 Bottled. Ginger and perfumy aroma. Yellow color, white head, good lace. Light sweet, ginger, very light bitter, thin. Pretty plain, not impressed, lager with ginger flavor. radagast83 (1315), Fairfax, Virginia, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jul 10, 2007 Tap. Aroma is actually pretty mild, with only a hint of the ginger in the aroma. The flavor was a bit stronger, with a very ginger flavor to it. Taste was sweet, with a bite to it (due to the ginger). A very interesting beverage and could possibly be pared well with something like sushi. skortila (2913), Bunnik, Netherlands
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jul 8, 2007 Aroma of grassy hops, some citrus and ginger. Clear, golden-amber coloured with a lasting, medium, off-white head. Taste is sweet, citric, just a bit caramel malty, bit hopy and quite spicy (ginger offcourse). Little dry palate. Okay beer, but uninteresting.
