Plenty of ginger in the flavour and it builds with each sip. Keeps bringing ginger beef to mind. The ginger aftertaste seems more natural caesar (3034), Bunnik/Utrecht, Netherlands
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jul 3, 2007 Clear amber color, short head. Aroma of sweet ginger, lemon, some hop, some caramel malt. Taste like ginger ale, with some sweet honey-like note, lemon. Slight bitter and dry palate. tronraner (1934), Seymour, Tennessee, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jul 1, 2007 Bomber. Pours gold with big off-white head. The aroma is ginger, lemon zest, and a little bit of sugar. The flavor is very gingery, maybe a little bit overdone. A plain, uninteresting malty sweetness lies beneath the ginger. Decent if paired well, but not something I would drink by itself. BillKismet (1950), Seattle, Washington, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 30, 2007 Deep ginger color and sunset with a full foamy head. Appealing candi ginger aroma becomes easy, under-stated ginger flavor. Decently balanced amber/pale ale with ginger component. kitschy (209), Nebraska, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 28, 2007 in bottle. served at left hand tasting at max amd joe’s, omaha. Orangey ginger aroma, golden color. served with wasabi and sushi, a nice touch. A good attempt at ginger beer, could have a slightly better ginger/hop/malt balance. nearbeer (1861), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jun 13, 2007 Bottled on 05-09-07. Clear and topaz-colored, with a large head that endures and leaves some foamy lace. Aroma is a ginger-metallic-cream soda mix. Flavor is ginger on front, a weak grainy malt in the middle, with a ginger and slight hop aftertaste. Palate is dry and light, a little tingly, and refreshing. It is not great, but is a pleasant alternative to the mostly blah American-style wheats mentioned in the commercial description. georgekappus (296), Brookfield, Connecticut, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Jun 9, 2007 Bottle. Poured a cloudly light amber with very little head. Strong ginger smell with subdued hop and malt aroma. There was a weak ginger taste covering up a weak ale even to the very end. Otje (668), Leiden, Netherlands
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Jun 7, 2007 Bottle 355ml. The first of a batch of Left Hand beers that hit the stores in Holland. I rate the less evaluated one first. Golden with a small creamy head and some lacing. Aromas are spicy; sharp ginger off-course, some hops and some malt. Tastes like ginger, some fruit, malt and some (hop)bitterness. Finishes more bitter, fruity and malty. Bit watery palate, smooth mouthfeel. Strange but not bad and definately sessionable.
