| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Nov 2, 2006 Has a light ginger aroma and flavor with a slight hop presence. Not bad, but it could be just a touch sweeter for my tastes. I could see this as a pretty good summertime beer. cbkschubert (2020), Cochise Co., Arizona, USA

| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Oct 6, 2006 Bottle. I’ll be trying the Sam Adams Honey Ginger next, so let’s compare these two. This one pours a light brown, with reddish streaks. Filmy head that leaves a scrum on the glass. Smell is rather light on ginger, and little hops aroma. Taste is rather weak and disappointing. Ginger flavor is barely there, so there’s not much to make up for the weak malt and hops flavor. There’s a hint of lemon for some reason. Pretty dry, low alcohol does not help much either. There’s just not much to hang a beer on here. For a summer refresher, I’d prefer a kolsch. Tmoney99 (4794), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 24, 2006 Bottle. Poured hazy copper with a large frothy white head that was mostly lasting with good lacing. Moderate ginger and mint aroma. Light to medium body with a slick texture. Medium bitter sweet flavor with a medium spice finish of moderated duration. Refreshing beer. MattShizzle (385), Bernville, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 11/20 | Sep 23, 2006 Bottle - from sampler pack. Ok, but could definitely use more flavor. A slightly stronger beer with more ginger would be better.
