Commercial Description:
Ingredients: Water; Malted barley; Ginger root; Hops; Yeast.
Our beer is basically a pale ale brewed from a relative low gravity, with some of the hops which would normally be used in the beer replaced by freshly ground ginger root. The beer is light in body, lower in alcohol, has a distinct ginger aroma, and has a very crisp finish. It was initially brewed as a refreshing alternative to the plethora of wheat beers which are popular in the summertime. Popular demand turned it into a year round beer.

Has a light ginger aroma and flavor with a slight hop presence. Not bad, but it could be just a touch sweeter for my tastes. I could see this as a pretty good summertime beer.

12 oz. bottle via trade with KAME - Pours a slightly hazy golden color with a small off white head. Light spotty lacing. Has a ginger, grassy hop aroma. Has a light ginger and caramel malt flavor. Light to medium body. Not bad, worth a try. Thanks Dillon.

ginger and light malty aroma, heavy water and the ginger is subtle at first and gets more noticeable as you drink

Poured a cloudy bright yellow with a small white head. The ginger is a little over powering for my taste buds, but it went great with sushi!

Draught at Brewery: Malty aroma with strong scents of ginger and musk. Poured golden in color. Small white head lasted. Great lacing. Clear. Sparkling. Sweet, malty flavor dominated by ginger. Light body. Lively carbonation. I could not dirnk more than one of these.

Bottle. I’ll be trying the Sam Adams Honey Ginger next, so let’s compare these two. This one pours a light brown, with reddish streaks. Filmy head that leaves a scrum on the glass. Smell is rather light on ginger, and little hops aroma. Taste is rather weak and disappointing. Ginger flavor is barely there, so there’s not much to make up for the weak malt and hops flavor. There’s a hint of lemon for some reason. Pretty dry, low alcohol does not help much either. There’s just not much to hang a beer on here. For a summer refresher, I’d prefer a kolsch.

Bottle. Poured hazy copper with a large frothy white head that was mostly lasting with good lacing. Moderate ginger and mint aroma. Light to medium body with a slick texture. Medium bitter sweet flavor with a medium spice finish of moderated duration. Refreshing beer.

Bottle - from sampler pack. Ok, but could definitely use more flavor. A slightly stronger beer with more ginger would be better.
