Commercial Description:
Ingredients: Water; Malted barley; Ginger root; Hops; Yeast.
Our beer is basically a pale ale brewed from a relative low gravity, with some of the hops which would normally be used in the beer replaced by freshly ground ginger root. The beer is light in body, lower in alcohol, has a distinct ginger aroma, and has a very crisp finish. It was initially brewed as a refreshing alternative to the plethora of wheat beers which are popular in the summertime. Popular demand turned it into a year round beer.

Not sure what I expected with this 22 oz beer. Package suggested it would be Irie.. Golden color, good carbonation with a faint ginger aroma. Flavor was mild and crisp with some ginger root. Finished a little bland for me. I love this brewery though - their Milk Stout is great.

Fairly non-desript appearance. I’d had high hopes for this beer, especially with the mild gingery aroma. However, I didn’t get any ginger flavor at all, only some ginger "heat" towards the end of the bottle. Possibly overchilled for tasting, but still not a beer I would order or purchase on any kind of regular basis.

The ginger really comes through in the aroma, flavor is mild though. Tasted like a very mild, unsweetened ginger ale. Something different for sure, but I couldn’t drink more than one.

Sampled at Brew Ha Ha 2005. Hazy dark yellow in color with a big, frothy soda-like head. Aroma is straight ginger. Flavor is mild ginger with some black pepper spiciness. An interesting beer to try, at least once.

An altogether odd beer. The ginger and cinnamon is good, but the beer lacks any kick whatsoever. Served ice cold it can be a good thing to lubricate a party, but not something I’d want every day.

Light apricot color, below a small head. Vibrant ginger root aroma, which is somewhat medicinal. Flavor is predominantly ginger, without much else. I guess for a ginger beer, this is ok.

Clear orange with no head and absolutely no bubbles. Smells of faint ginger and not much else. Taste is faint ginger and water, but mostly like dish soap (my glass was normal). Where is the malt? There is none at all. Pretty bad overall, but I do like ginger.

Pours hazy pale orange with minimal head that quickly diminishes. Not much in the nose except for a small amount of ginger aroma. In the flavor I get some faint malt tones, hops, and ginger. Ok.
