Aroma is quite light. A kiss of ginger over a soft floral pale malt base. Flavour is like unsweetened ginger ale. Meh. Not good at all. HonkeyBra (1341), Lemont, Illinois, USA

Ginger and more ginger. Abrasive, chemically, and not very good to drink. I’ll avoid this. CaryTheDude (1113), Longmont, Colorado, USA

Taste is ginger, and not much else. Hard to concentrate on anything other flavors because its so overwhelming. Not a huge fan of this but I applaud the effort and experimental craftsmanship of this ale. Finishes kindda watery. This should be sold at Sushi bars. ChainGangGuy (2568), Kennesaw, Georgia, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 6, 2009 12 ounce bottle - $1.99 at Total Wine & More in Kennesaw, Georgia. Bottled On: Smudge, 12, 08.
Appearance: Pours a crystal clear, amber body with a foamy, whitish head.
Smell: Pale malts with meager hop scents of spice and ripe lemons with an aroma of ginger root.
Taste: Pale malts with a very, very, very light touch hint and overall sweetness. A few drops of lemon juice. Mildly spicy hops and bitterness. Growing into all this is the piquant, cumulative ginger component. Sip of aquifer water precedes the faintly sweet, faintly spicy ginger finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-thin body. Medium carbonation.
Drinkability: A bit light on the ginger, but I’m down with that. I had this a few years ago and thought the ginger was pretty punchy (i.e, obnoxious). This time, it’s pretty damned mild. However, if given the choice of too much ginger or not enough, I’ll pick the latter every single time. demdeac40 (240), Etowah, North Carolina, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Mar 6, 2009 Pours light orange with nice carbonation and little to no head. Aroma is sweet malts and a definite ginger spiciness. Light and easy to drink. Definite taste of ginger. Not a big beer, not a complex beer. Could this be something to drink on a hot summer day or with spicy Thai cuisine? Definitely Yes. Haslinger (647), Syracuse, New York, USA
