Commercial Description:
Ingredients: Water; Malted barley; Ginger root; Hops; Yeast.
Our beer is basically a pale ale brewed from a relative low gravity, with some of the hops which would normally be used in the beer replaced by freshly ground ginger root. The beer is light in body, lower in alcohol, has a distinct ginger aroma, and has a very crisp finish. It was initially brewed as a refreshing alternative to the plethora of wheat beers which are popular in the summertime. Popular demand turned it into a year round beer.

Interesting to say the least. Aroma of ginger bread cookies. Pours a fizzy gold amber. Flavor is more spicy ginger bread cookies. Crisp, carbonated, kind of thin. I liked the ginger effect. Good stuff.

Bottle.Surprisingly drinkable as I usually think of these types of beers as just for novelty.Slightly creamy and the ginger doesn’t take control of the beer. Not brilliant but better than anticipated.

355ml bottle (4.4% ABV). Fading white head over an amber body. Ginger smell and taste - with added hops and candy sugar to the flavour (05.08.2008).

Hazy gold pour, with a frothy white head. Ginger aroma. Thin bodied. Ginger, grain, and caramel malts. Hop flavor seems non- existent

On tap at In de Wildeman, Amsterdam.
Pale amber coloured, small white head, dusty light ginger nose. Very mild prickling ginger taste with notes of chamomile tea. Spicy finish. Interesting but weak.
