| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Aug 15, 2008 Bottle. Black with a small head. Aromas are chocolate and coffee with low bitterness. Milky sweetness is pronounced and welcome. Flavours are sweet and obviously milky which is a change from the lactose stouts I’ve had previously. Rich smooth chocolate with light roast malts. Quite simply a really pleasant drink. bretupdegraff (182), Fishers, Indiana, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Aug 13, 2008 nice sweet aroma - this brew tasted smooth and creamy - not too bitter - nice aftertaste - I think I could have used a bit more flavor but not sure what... might be a bit smooth for my palatte. Would enjoy this beer again. beerchugger (307), Colorado, USA

Has aromas of roasted coffee and malts. The sugars from the milk come out nicely and it has a smooth mouth feel to it. Pretty good beer Borresteijn (1441), Amsterdam, Netherlands

| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Aug 3, 2008 Very creamy head. Dark as sin colorwise. Very pungent aroma of chocolate and roasted malts. Wonderful flavor. Not extremely bitter with lots of sweetness from the lactose addition. Smooth going down the palate. I have to confess that this is one of my favorite styles of stout and this is definately one of the better milk stouts I’ve had. I had it a LONG time ago, but haven’t seen it around the SF Bay Area for quite some time. Would buy this again and again if it was readily available.
