Commercial Description:
This English style of beer, also known as Sweet Stout or Cream Stout, first appeared in London in the late 1800’s. The early brewers touted the health benefits of the milk sugar in this beer which today relates mainly to the increased amount of calories(no real health benefits…sorry). The milk sugar adds a well rounded sweetness to this dark beer and makes it an outstanding, year ‘round stout.

mild roasted scent, poured very dark with great sized tan head, surprisingly mellow compared to other stouts and not at all dessert sweet like other milk stouts. the small amount of sweetness that it does have completely removes any roasted aftertastes/bitterness that come with some stouts.

Pours a deep brown with medium tan head. Aroma of chocolate, coffee, and roasted malts. Sweet and creamy with almost no bitterness and smooth on the palate. My favorite among this style.

Pours a dark brown to black with a smooth chocolatey aroma and a tan head. The taste starts with light chocolate and finishes with a lingering hint of coffee. Smooth with mild carbonation.

Carbonated dark brown-black body with a brownish tinted head. Decent dark roast aroma and a flavor of the dark roast, and some chocolate, but with some definite lactose sourness to it. Decent body. Fairly smooth.

Nice chocolate, malty smell. Much like a snickers bar. Dark milky appearance. Bit of coffee on the front. Leaves a bitter coffee on the tounge. Not as good as I wanted it to be.
