Commercial Description:
This English style of beer, also known as Sweet Stout or Cream Stout, first appeared in London in the late 1800’s. The early brewers touted the health benefits of the milk sugar in this beer which today relates mainly to the increased amount of calories(no real health benefits…sorry). The milk sugar adds a well rounded sweetness to this dark beer and makes it an outstanding, year ‘round stout.

A very dark, almost black colored beer, with a thick beige foamed head. An aroma of chocolate, and coffee, also a little sweet in the back. The taste soft chocolate, mild coffee, little sweet. In the back bitterness and a dry after taste. A good beer.

Poured a dark brown with a cream colored head. Goes down incredibly smooth. I really enjoyed how it went down with a creamy and sweet taste. Stays on the tongue for a little bit after drinking it. The roasted malt is noticeable and has a nice taste of the chocolate in it. I recommend this to those who enjoy the creamier stouts.

Pours really dark with a fat tan head. Aroma was nice, full of chocolate, sugars, and roasted malts. Taste was sweet and bitter at the same time. Tastes like candy and beer, but in a very good way. Pretty thick. A fun good beer.

Pours a dark brown with a small brown head. Flavor is nothing to write home about but still enjoyable, just nothing amazing. After swallowing you have that left over creaminess comparable to when you drink a tall glass of milk. Kind of weird at first if you haven’t had a milk stout before, but once you get used to it it’s nice and can be enjoyable. Some people can’t get used to it, and I can understand why. A unique beer that could be amazing if the recipe was tweaked a bit to offer a more robust flavor and more pleasant aroma. Would recommend only for the unique experience of this beer, and not so much for the overall taste, aroma, etc...

33 cl bottle from Systembolaget. Not that pleasant. Not bad either, but quite boring overall. Roasted malt and milk chocolate in the taste. I think the flavor is too sweet and overall, quite thin. On the other hand, an okay beer but I will not buy it again.

Pretty straight forward stuff. Nose of sweet chocolate. Taste of sour milk and chocolate ... not unpleasant, more like chocolate pudding and chocolate yogurt blended. Dark brown, small head. Average mouth. Maybe a bonus point for being relatively low alcohol.

Not the first time i have this beut. Aroma is average and not very impressionable. Head is ok, but wish it were a bit tighter. Flavor out dose leaves a marvelous creamy and sweet aftertaste. I love this beer, highly recommended to anyone who enjoys a creamy rich stout.

Pours with a large, rocky light brown head with a black-brown body. Aroma is strong of chalk, chocolate, and oats. Some lacing from the head. Sweet milk and chocolate taste with some smokey toffee in the finish. Milky mouthfeel.
