Commercial Description:
This English style of beer, also known as Sweet Stout or Cream Stout, first appeared in London in the late 1800’s. The early brewers touted the health benefits of the milk sugar in this beer which today relates mainly to the increased amount of calories(no real health benefits…sorry). The milk sugar adds a well rounded sweetness to this dark beer and makes it an outstanding, year ‘round stout.

Draft @ Taco Mac Pours dark with a head like a great cup of espresso. The aroma is muted, the tasted is lactic... not sure if its psychologic because of the name. Sweet.

Bottle. Bought it NBD in NYC. Yummy beer. Pours nice dark with a creamy head. Texture is medium bodied, and very creamy. Is like drinking a milk shake stout. Taste of smoke, roasty and ashes. Very easy to drink. Enjoy!

12 oz. bottle courtesy/shared with Naka. Pours black/brown with prominent amber hues. Small, rimming, off-white head. Nose of leftover, Oreo-infused, dunking milk. Heavy spoiled lactose with roast, chocolate, and toffee. Raosty body with a chocolatey malted milk ball taste. Thin body with sweet chocolate and caramel, little fruit, lots of lactose. Barring the nose, this stuff is pretty tasty.

Pours a really dark brown / blackish with a bit of a reddish hue. The aroma is a sweet chocolate with a very obvious milky scent, maybe milk that has been left on the counter an hour too long. Has a really dark roasted coffee flavor with some caramel and a finish of room temperature malted milk. Very sweet. Not a whole lot of carbonation, but fizzes to a nice creamy texture in the mouth.

Bottle from a 6 pack. Black with a lot of red, small white head. Really good aroma - milk chocolate dominates - you would swear there is chocolate added. Great taste to I am happy to report - Lots of milk chocolate. Great medium well carbonated mouth feel accentuates the flavours. So smooth. Just a wonderful stout that I could drink all night.

(Bottle) Almost black colour with a reddish hue, frothy pale brown head. Roasted, malty nose with coffee, chocolate, soy sauce, liquorice, roasted nuts and a hint of tar. Roasted, almost burnt, malty taste with chocolate, cream, soy sauce, caramel and cappuccino. Nutty, creamy, not very bitter finish. Medium body, rather short. Nice and tasty beer.
