And once that idea got into my head, I couldn’t think of anything else when I smelled it. It’s a nice, substantial aroma, but it’s definitely chocolate milk. Fortunately the flavor has some good roast malt to go with the chocolate and milk. It also finishes with some mild bitterness. It’s medium bodied, creamy, and pretty enjoyable. sethdude (604), St. Louis, Missouri, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Mar 24, 2008 Pours oily black with a medium tan head. Aroma is great, milk chocolate and mild hop "pepper". Flavor is equally good, lots of chocolate, moments of coffee bitterness, a good sour lactic note, tobacco, and peppery hops at the end. Very nice, and not overdone like too many stouts these days. FatTony (121), Augusta, Georgia, USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Mar 24, 2008 12 ounce bottle- everything I DO NOT like about a stout. Strong, bitter and acidic. It poured out dark brown to black with a hearty and long lasting head. The aroma was toasty. Had a bitter coffee flavor with none of the subtle under taste of a really good stout. It was okay, but not much more. mirjukka (705), LOHJA, Finland

Large brown creamy head, very long lasting, black body - overall great looking! Moderate bitter, average duration. Medium body, creamy texture, soft carbonation. Nice stout. vyvvy (2068), Hazelwood, Missouri, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Mar 21, 2008 Pours very dark with a crimson hue and deep tan soapy head. The aroma has lots of milky roasted malt, bitter cocoa and vanilla. Medium fully rich body with a moderate amount of carbonation. The flavor starts off with cream and coffee bitterness along with heavily roasted malt. The finish has a lot more bitterness than expected for something called a ’milk stout’ , but still smooth and enjoyable. A very good stout. Gr0ve (1420), Oslo, Norway
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Mar 20, 2008 355 ml bottle, RBNAG07. Dark brown, almost black. Medium greyish brown head. Bold roasted chocolate aroma. Smooth texture. Licorice flavours. Surprisingly dry for a milk stout. Lacks sweetness. Nice cocao aroma and flavour. austone (1039), Turku; Pori, Finland
