Mar 18, 2008 A nice beer indeed. Smooth body and nice aroma of coffee and some chocolate. One detractor might be a bit of a thin texture, but flavor makes up for that and more. A nice stout.

Mar 18, 2008 Sweet aroma, with notes of coffee and roasted malts. Appearance is a dark brown/red, slight head. The flavor has a chocolate coffe taste, with definite notes of lactose from the milk. This milk sugar adds a slightly sour taste to the overall sweetness. Mouthfeel is a little thick, and the finish is long lasting. Overall a decent stout

Mar 17, 2008 Pours dark black with smallish tan head. Aroma of roasted coffee and chocolate. Sweet, creamy taste eases into a medium bitter finish. Very nice beer.

Mar 15, 2008 pours dark brown. Not as black as expected. Thin tan head. Aroma was nice but not strong. The beer seemed a little thin to stand up to the added sweetness of the lactose. Not as good as duck rabbit for a true milk stout, and definitly not as good as bells 2x cream.

Mar 13, 2008 Attractive, rich sweet stout with very little aroma but a smooth sweet chocolate punch hits the taster on the first sip and allows them a very pleasant ride all the way to the bottom of the pint class.
Give this one a try.

Mar 12, 2008 Brown in color with a decent tannish colored head. Slight coffee and toastines in the smell. Creamy and smooth. Easy to drink. A little sweetness.

Mar 11, 2008 Pours a dark, opaque brown, with medium-small light brown head.
Aroma is immediately of coffee with plenty of sugar and cream, and bit of nuttiness. The taste follows suit. The taste (for me) progressed from a very nutty and roasty/roasted malt, and then a toffee/coffee/cream/sweet taste dominated, with the last notes lingering being espresso/coffee.
As to palate, it was very smooth and creamy, just slightly carbonated and finishes smooth with some bitterness.
Overall, a stout worth paying for.

Mar 9, 2008 morning coffee aroma, black center, chestnut edges. 3 finger head of dusted white, fair lacing. pretty sweet, nearly cloying. good body, but the concentrated thickness hurts the experience for me.
