Light and smooth, it lacked the molasses tones of other stouts. I didn’t catch the "sweetness" so much as I felt it lacked the depth I like. A nice, easy drink, but not my favorite. (I don’t drink milk) Pours near-black with a brown head. Aroma is too creamy at first, then settles down into a delicious coffee-chocolate-cream mix. Flavor is creamy chocolate with a slight coffee aftertaste. Definitely unique. Not bad either. wheelz843 (211), Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA

Chocolate, roasted malt aroma. Milk chocolate, coffee, almond, caramel taste. Quite sweet. My dear Grandmother would have really enjoyed this American version of a cream stout. I love stouts, but this one is just plain old pleasant. I can share this with my beerpussy friends (ewww....dark beer.. to bitter...) you know, you have them too. Dark ,creamy, roasty, chocolaty, with a super smooth finish. mesperon (140), Jersey City, New Jersey, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jul 4, 2009 Deep black, almost completely opaque, slight brown hue at the edge. Very light aroma of roasted barley and carbon. Crisp and clear to start, roasted malt, dark coffee and chocolate all hit at once, slight bitterness of dak roast at the end, hops are very mild, Not much of the milk suga taste that I’m ised to in milk stouts.
