Jun 27, 2009 Bottle: Clear, deep ruby amber coloured, small beige head. Aroma: molasses and dried fruits, traces of leather and coffee; medium bodied, a bit sticky, solid, almost dryish, sweet-bitter flavour; robust, but shorter dry bitter-coffeeish finish. Good, nourishing, tasty.........

Jun 24, 2009 Bery dark but transparent, well carbonated, with a weak head which also dies away pretty quickly.
The smell is indeed milk chocolate with lots of maltiness, liquorice and caramel. The sweetness is a bit too strong, chemical.
Sweetish coffee with milk taste with hints of strawberries... sour maltiness, somewhat alcoholic.

Jun 23, 2009 Sampled before, this tasting at Made in the Shade 2009. Pours a deep brown/black with minimal head. Aroma is cream, chocolate, and coffee. This is mirrored in the taste. Slightly drier than other sweet stouts. very drinkable and refreshing.

Jun 23, 2009 On tap at the Flying Saucer in KC. Pours a deep brown, almost black body with a two-finger width, dense and creamy, brown head that dissipates slowly and leaves a moderate amount of soapy lacing. Aroma is light and soft across the board. Roasts, milk chocolate, lactose, and some cherry. Flavor is better, but still a little too soft. Starts with milky chocolate and a light malt then moves inot a soft roast and somewhat sour cherry middle before finishing wiht some lactose, smooth chocolate, soft roasts, and a touch of almost astringent citrus bitterness. Dry with a decent lingering taste of milky and chocolate roasts. Light to medium bodied and smooth. Overall, better tasting than I anticipated, but still nothing to write home about. A little light bodied, some fullness could do this well.

Jun 21, 2009 Bottle from Sam’s. Pours pretty much black, allowing some light around the edges. Smallish beige head with nice retention. Had an 8 Ball Stout last night and found it far superior. This one focuses much more on the "sweet" part of sweet stout. Lots of milk sugar, milk chocolate, and caramel. Thin palate. A good summer stout, I suppose, but not really my thing.

Jun 20, 2009 Bottle. Poured black with a brown head. Aroma was rich but sweet, notes of chocolate and candy bars. Flavor was sweet and full throughout, main note was milk chocolate. Nice for the style.

Jun 13, 2009 Had on draft at the brewery. Lighter in body than stouts that I really prefer, but the roasted malts and coffee overtones and sweet beginnings make this a very east drinking session stout. Very fresh and highly carbonated, soft yet full of flavor.
