DrunkenWeasel (218), Portland, Oregon, USA Jul 30, 2006 Pours almost black with a small white head. Smell is of cream chocolate and some slight caramel notes. Taste is of milk chocalate and some coffee bitterness and some caramel undertones. Doesn’t coat the mouth as much as I’d like but leaves a pleasent milk chocolate aftertaste in your mouth.
tubehead (10), Atlanta, Georgia, USA Oct 8, 2008 Bottled, this beer pours thick black, with a light brown medium head. Great aroma: coffee, with cream and sugar. If there is such a thing as a breakfast beer, this is it. It has a very rich flavor: mocha, toffee, hops. It is not my favorite stout, but it is very nice - worth a second - but you may want to save room - it is very filling. Tiny_Tim (21), Perth, Australia Oct 8, 2008 Old-ish bottle. The aroma is soft, malty, biscuity, caramel, quite sweet for a stout. The flavour is smooth and creamy, very nice. The beer has no real defining character (it may have lost it with age/ transit), but it is a pleasant English stout; not too sweet, not too malty. Finn (1092), Tromsø, Norway Oct 7, 2008 Bottle 0,355l. Black as coal. A huge, lasting mocca colored fluffy head leaving patterns on the glass. Inviting aroma of coffe and milk chocolate. Soft mouthfeel. Well balanced. Complex flavor with metallic fruity notes, and a lasting aftertaste of coffee. Some dry bitterness. KI=5 RichardGretton (2682), Leicestershire, England Oct 5, 2008 Bottle. Black beer with a strong head. The aroma is lightly roasted and bitter, the flavour is very bitter, roasted and milky. Overall very nice milky stout. mattwix (6), Arizona, USA does not count Oct 5, 2008 Could this be the perfect beer? I couldn’t rate the apperance higher because I drank it from the bottle. I sure tasted like it looked good :-)
