Very mild aroma - some roast, maybe some alcohol. Taste is nice - soft body, lots of oak (vanilla), some alcohol - very pleasant. A subdued but very drinkable impy.

Nose is quite fruity, a touch of smoke and roast and chocolate, vanilla oak comes through a bit. Quite sweet in the mouth, some cardboard and oak, chocolate and roasty with a fair bit of residual bitterness at the end. Fairly smooth and lush with some drying astringency. nqualls (422), Tennessee, USA Sep 29, 2008 Bottle. Poured a dark black with red accents and a thin tan head. Aroma of chocolate, oak and vanilla. Pours a very dark brown with a small, creamy head. The aroma is of chocolate, cake, molasses. Flavor is oaky, with a lot of chocolate, coffee, and a bit of booze. mouthfeel is a bit too thin. Pretty good. Beerlando (1352), Orlando, Florida, USA Sep 5, 2008 2007 vintage. Pours a dark but transparent mahogany brown color. A small, creamy, bubbly beige head lingers. Random spots and flares of lace mark the glass. The aroma is quite nice, showing notes of chocolate cake batter, caramel, nougat, and rum soaked figs. Licorice emerges, and a soft, oaky vanilla component permeates from start to finish. Flavors include caramello and chocolate fudge, with anise, licorice, and vanilla crème liquor. Medium-full on the palate, the body feels silky on the tongue. Excellent brew. Chocolate and soft vanilla abounds. daknole (855), Plantation, Florida, USA Sep 5, 2008 bottle from Liquor Loft in Tallahassee. Black pour with a small brownish head. Aromas are molasses, chocolate and booze. Flavor is really great. Sweet chocolate, coffee, molasses, syrup, and just damn good stuff. Really well done.
