Commercial Description:
Thanks for purchasing another offering in our Big Mo’ Series. Widdershins, our counterclockwise biennial barleywine aged in oak casks reveals fruity notes of orange and apricot upon a foundation of oak, garlanded with earthy hoppiness. Our answer to waning daylight and frigid temperatures can be enjoyed immediately or saved in your cellar for a snowy day. Cheers!

Bottled. An unclear amber beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is sweet malty with lots of hops, medium notes of peaches, and light notes of over ripe fruits, and wood. The flavor is sweet and very fruity - just leaning towards being over ripe, combined with notes of wood, and a light alcohol note. It finishes with a slight alcohol burn in the throat.

(Bottle 75 cl) Courtesy of joergen. Hazy, amber golden with tiny impurities and an off-white head. Aroma of overripe fruit and alcohol. Good, solid body with plenty of caramel, overripe fruit and a distinct smoky note. Rather bitter and alcoholic finish. 190408

22 fl oz bottle. Pours hazy orange with a dense off-white head. Grapefruit hops aroma. Flavour is light liqourice, hops and caramel malt in a nice blend. Light hoppy and bitter flavour. Ends with a nicely balanced sweet caramel note to compliment the hops with a nice balance into the finish.

Bottled (9.1%), thanks ante! Cloudy dark amber, enormous head. Vaguely woody nose. Sweet and fairly soft, vastly malty with full body. Lots of caramel, with oak and vanilla chiming in. Warming and quite balanced with an emphasis on malt.

Bottle, 9.1%. OK grassy hop aroma. Cloudy dark amber colour. Small stable tan head. Good flavour, very malty and quite smoky. Good alcohol level to balance the malt and give a good mouthfeel.

Bottled. Hazy orange colour, mediumsized beige head. Aroma is wood, caramel malts, some mild yeastyness as well as dark dry fruits with mild alcohol. Flavour is quite much the same in a nice balance, but also has some very grassy and earthy notes. Mild notes of dark chocolate and grass in the aftertaste.
