Commercial Description:
This beer is available each autumn in celebration of the great Bavarian festival season. Brewed in late spring and cellared throughout the summer, our Oktoberfest is produced through traditional methods as it has been for centuries in Germany, This copper-hued lager owes its rich malt flavor to a generous combination of select Vienna and Munich malts. Cool, open-fermentation develops a subtle elegance and drinkability suited to any festive occasion.

Sweet and syrupy. Big sugary malt backbone with super sweet caramel notes. Small spice and very alkaline. Ugh.

Roasted malty sweetness, some hops, decent depth. A little dry, nothing special.

Pours an ultra clear amber brown with a diminishing small white head. Aroma is medium sweet, nutty, light fruit and light floral. Flavor is much stronger than the aroma, nutty and sweet with adequate bitterness. Medium bodied, slick texture. Long carmelly sweet finish.

12oz. bottle served in a pilsner glass. Poured a reddish amber with a thin off white head. Pretty good aroma of caramel malt with some noble hops. Medium to light bodied. Malt sweetness, not terribly complex. Some noble hops in the finish. Smooth and easy drinking. I’m usually not a fan of American Oktoberfests, but this one is pretty good.

My first Oktoberfest of this year...bottle..sweet malty aroma with the same sweetness in the mouth...candy malt with a nice backbone of finishing malts as well...very easy to drink...a smooth body with minimal carbonation, just enough to make this an easy going beer...accompanies the world series wonderfully...red tinged body with a hint of a head...bananas in the finish of this brew

12oz bottle. Poured copper. Head was tan and fluffy. Moderate lacing on glass. Aroma bread, and malts. Flavor was extremely malty, roasty, sweet in the end with bread notes mixed in. I also picked up caramel all the way through. Slightly bitter/yeasty by the end of the bottle. Kind of astringent. Taste the alcohol. It mixed with the sweetness. Medium Mouthfeel. Light carbonation.

Amber/copper in color with spotty lacing and nice looking tan cap. Pleasing aroma of sugary malt, bread, and noble hops. Medium bodied and exceptionally creamy. Very smooth, I would love to throw back a handful of these during an Oktoberfest Festival. Flavor is very malty. Sweet and sugary with a nice toasted nutty taste. Minor notes of floral noble hops and dark fruits. So far the best Oktoberfest of this season, I am very impressed by the effort put into crafting this one.

Bottle, on recommendation from Rob at Goebel’s in Wichita.
Pours a beautiful mahogany with a pleasant aroma of autumn spices- cinammon, pumpkin, and a dash of nutmeg. Flavor is a continuation of the aroma but with an emphasis on roasted nuts. Still, hints of pumpkin and nutmeg are in the background, with cinammon lagging behind. Nice mouthfeel; very pleasant along the palate. A touch of fallen leaves leaves (ha, that sounds funny) a slight trail along the back of the tongue. Probably the best Oktoberfest I’ve had, or at least that I can remember right now. Hope this makes it to Houston.
