Commercial Description:
This beer is available each autumn in celebration of the great Bavarian festival season. Brewed in late spring and cellared throughout the summer, our Oktoberfest is produced through traditional methods as it has been for centuries in Germany, This copper-hued lager owes its rich malt flavor to a generous combination of select Vienna and Munich malts. Cool, open-fermentation develops a subtle elegance and drinkability suited to any festive occasion.

Bottle at SBWF2008. Dark amber color. Sweet, malty and toasty aroma. Firm malty and toffeish flavor. Chewy and kind of heavy palate.

Very nice oktoberfest. A bigger hop presence in the finish than most marzens, which is interesting, and agrees with my palate lots.

Pours a cloudy redish amber with a thin head along the sides of the glass. The nose is semi sweet with hints of nuts and toasted almond. The flavor is nice and roasted with malted hops and some caramel malt as well. the flavor is nice and it lasts on the palate for a while. Overall it is a better beer then people make it out to be.

Bottled. Clear, deep amber with an off-white head. Very sweet and vinous aroma; tropical and dried sweet fruits. Pretty much the same in the flavour. Pretty light and fresh with a rather short flavour.

Bottle. Light amber in color with some cloudyness. Off white film on top for a head. Sweet malt aroma. Medium palate. Not as good as a Paulaner but still not bad.
