Commercial Description:
This beer is available each autumn in celebration of the great Bavarian festival season. Brewed in late spring and cellared throughout the summer, our Oktoberfest is produced through traditional methods as it has been for centuries in Germany, This copper-hued lager owes its rich malt flavor to a generous combination of select Vienna and Munich malts. Cool, open-fermentation develops a subtle elegance and drinkability suited to any festive occasion.

12 oz bottle. Pours red orange amber with a large creamy off white head that retains well and laces the glass.

The aroma is toasted malts and maybe a touch of alcohol.

The flavor is sweet toasted caramel malts and some weird off flavors that increase as it warms (nitrogen?). The mouthfeel is medium bodied with smooth carbonation.

Overall, it’s just pretty bland and uninspiring and the off-flavors make it rather unpleasant.

Pours a copper-brown color with thin tan head. Aroma is sweet malt and toasted bread. Aroma is malty, with a hint of spice. A little too sweet, but not overpowering. Nice bittersweet finish, but a little thin mouthfeel. A good seasonal, but not something I’d want to drink over and over.

Thanks to pilsnerpeter for sharing. Deep amber-coloured beer with a thin white head. Aroma is fairly toasty with a lightly burnt malt character. Brown sugar and toasty aroma. Flavour matches the aroma nicely. Malty and caramelly with a touch of spiciness. Lightly grainy sweetness. Fairly clean.

Nice burnt orange pour with a creamy thin tan head and some lacing. Aroma is sweet and grassy, faint caramel maltiness. White grape and Malty bitter flavor, and a husky, maybe tannic finish. Medium body with fair carbonation. I love the marzen style, and I love left hand, but this one just didn’t do it for me.
