Commercial Description:
This beer is available each autumn in celebration of the great Bavarian festival season. Brewed in late spring and cellared throughout the summer, our Oktoberfest is produced through traditional methods as it has been for centuries in Germany, This copper-hued lager owes its rich malt flavor to a generous combination of select Vienna and Munich malts. Cool, open-fermentation develops a subtle elegance and drinkability suited to any festive occasion.

Pours clear amber-brown with a medium-thick off-white head, great lacing. Carmel malt and apple aroma. Smooth, fairly thin body, typical of a lager, well carbonated. Nicely balanced flavor, caramel, spicy, even a little smokey, and a little floral, hop bitterness in the aftertaste.

Pours a dark amber with nice, creamy head. Spicey, dough aroma. Flavor is grassy and leafy, with some sour dough and toffee. A little bitterness towards the back of the throat. Definitely full-bodied, easy drinking ale. Nothing mind-blowing though.

12 oz bottle. Pours a rich, deep amber/gold color with a nice cream colored head. There is not a lot of lacing and the retention is a little lacking though. The aroma is excellent! This is what an Oktoberfest should smell like. Very large caramel aromas, backed with a nice grainy note. Very nice. Flavor is nice and rich, full f caramel malt. This beer is nice and smooth on the palate and I could see myself in a big tent drinking massive mugs full of this. Nice representation of a good marzen.

I do like the marzens, leafy, grass tones are all around in it. It smells like a pretty standard lager, nothing too special. The look of it is a nice amber with a thin cream head on top. The flavor really picks up the grassy spicy flavors. The mouth feel is pretty smooth as well, all in all, a very nice drinkable beer.

12oz bottle served in a lager glass. Amber body with garnet highlights topped by a small off-white head. Smells fresh, spicy, lightly fruity. Tastes of dough, spicy hops, caramel. Slightly more bitter than the average Oktoberfest. Full, rich body. Great fest beer.

Bottle. Very pretty pour - deep, hazelnut-copper with a thin, tan head. Pleasant yeasty and sweet toffee aromas. Surprisingly interesting on the tongue. Sweet roasted malt and white grape juice. There is also a slight herbal quality. I love the mouthfeel of this beer as well - somewhat thick with moderate carbonation. All in all, a good find.

Bottle, pilsner glass. Pours a hazy autumnal orange, an over-exuberant beige head overflows my glass. Leaves a nice lacing at first, but the suds slide down the glass back into the beer eventually. Aromas of yeast and caramel, with some smoky notes in there, too. First mouthfeel of suds tastes mostly of smoke. Once I start drinking real beer, there’s this huge malty body. Caramel is there in flavor, but the smooth texture feels more like sudsy creaminess than caramel at this point. There some orange flavor and fruit-juicy elements here, too, with some sour and bitter orange-zest notes to offset the sweetness. Caramel-smooth and slightly peppery in the finish.

pours a nice dark amber- orange colour with a small off white head. Toasty caramel aroma. Flavour is sweet and malty. Some cutting bitterness towards the finish keeps it from being too sweet. A little disappointing since the first Left Hand I had was the milk stout which I thought was very good.
