Commercial Description:
This beer is available each autumn in celebration of the great Bavarian festival season. Brewed in late spring and cellared throughout the summer, our Oktoberfest is produced through traditional methods as it has been for centuries in Germany, This copper-hued lager owes its rich malt flavor to a generous combination of select Vienna and Munich malts. Cool, open-fermentation develops a subtle elegance and drinkability suited to any festive occasion.

Poures a nice amber with a medium off white head. The nose is light and is roasted, caramel, and a slight grain. Taste has a little hop to it, some nuttiness, and a dryer finish with a bitterness.

A nice beer, good amber color. Tannish head, with some nice hoppy highlights in the aroma.

Orange/copper and clear in pour with a finger thick orangish-white head that disappears quickly. Malt and caramel on the nose. About the same on the taste.

Bottle. Pours a nice amber-copper body with a lasting white creamy covering. Earthy caramel aroma with some sweet cookiesh type notes. Sweet cookie and toasted toffee flavours. Not the most aggressive beer which is normal for the style but the subtleties and mild character are quite pleasant.

Bottle and served in standard pint glass: Coppery amber topped by a fading frothy head and left spotty lace upon the glass. The aroma has notes of caramel, pumpernickel bread, peach esters, herbal and earthy vapours. The taste is malty and sugary sweet with just a dollop of fruit and bitterness, Grainy and bready throughout. The mouth feel is smooth and medium-bodied. Not offensive but lack much character which is pretty normal for the style.

12oz bottle. okay so I’m reverting back to a couple of beer seasons ago, bottled 4 months ago. pours hazy golden-amber with creamy off white head. nose is very cereal grainy with toasted biscuit. flavor is a raw and stale tasting grainy with slight citrus to it. not the worst oktoberfest beer but not a good one either.

Deep amber coloured body with a dense tan head. Aroma of strong malt, a bit of hops, a lot of peanuts and some light caramel scents. Medium-bodied; Strong malty flavour with potent nuts and some caramalised sugars, tucked into a bit of hops and some mellow yeast flavours. Aftertaste is very mild and pleasing - not harsh nor alcoholic at all. Overall, a decent marzen - really not bad, and probably better than most american attempts at the beer. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Norm’s in Vienna, Virginia on 13-December-2007.

About an average Oktoberfest. Nice bready aroma. Very nice pour. Sweet malty flavor. Worth a try.
