Commercial Description:
This beer is available each autumn in celebration of the great Bavarian festival season. Brewed in late spring and cellared throughout the summer, our Oktoberfest is produced through traditional methods as it has been for centuries in Germany, This copper-hued lager owes its rich malt flavor to a generous combination of select Vienna and Munich malts. Cool, open-fermentation develops a subtle elegance and drinkability suited to any festive occasion.

Orange/amber with a big fluffy white head. Sour malt and yeast dominate the aroma. Flavor is big and malty with a light citrus touch and a soft, bittersweet finish. Caramel and buttery toffee notes with a slight bite from the citrus. Slightly sugary; rich, flavorful and complex for a marzen. I like this beer immensely.

Pours clear bronze with a rocky light tan head. The aroma is quite faint with some caramel malt and some spiciness (hops?). Meidum body with over-abundance of carbonation. The taste is on the watery side with caramel malt that is medicinal and metallic. The finish is still quite medicinal and peppery - not very good.

Nice amber/brown with smallish head. Nice raosted malts and juicy fruit flavors emerge from this seasonal brew. Applesauce, berries, corn, malts, and a touch of alcohol mark the aromas. A full flavored entry with coffee roasting, fruit balanced and subtle hops which has a souring tinge effect on the tounge, yet yields a creamier body. A nice Oktoberfest brew.

Amber colored. Slightly hazy. Small white head. Aroma of caramel, toast, and nuts. Flavor is the same, but it is really nice. It just works together. Its got all of the flavors from most fest beers, but they work together the best. Smooth and drinkable. Each sip made me want more. The best Fest beer I have drank this season for sure!

Thin, even white head on a classic orange brown body with normal clarity...nice roasted malts with a slight sweet, doughy aroma...medium to full palate, with a smooth texture and finish...sweet, even malts...a lingering finish, impressive in its singular effect...another winner from Left Hand, a beer equally made for sessioning or swigging....bring on the candy corn.

Bottle. Pours lightly hazy copper wiht a lacy off-white head. Noble hops over a nutty malt aroma. Medium body and fine carbonation. A bit of caramel, nuts, seemingly sweet in mid-palate rather than on the front. Crisp-ish finish with earthy hop traces.

Bottled on 08-22-07. Clear copper with a medium-sized head that lasts. Earthy sweet corn, toasted nut, caramel, cocoa, and barber shop spice aromas. Flavors of caramel, grain, cocoa, sour apple, and grapes on the front; turns more earthy and dryish, ending with bittersweet pecan and a slightly sour caramel-cocoa note. Smooth, medium bodied with a drying finish. A bit atypical of the style: heavier with seemingly more roast malt, but this is the tastiest Oktoberfest I have sampled.
