| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Oct 2, 2007 bottle. immaculate, almost over-compensating head, it pours like an okt’fest; deep, true amber hue, crystal clear. aromas of yeasts and malts, like a true lager. there’s a little yeasty nutmeg and curry powder here, as well as a typical okt’fest; also, dark ripe fruits. taste is a bit airy, of unsweet toffee and slight nutty flavor as well. yeasts are here, as are mild malts. it tastes like a concoction of fall and, well...october. kudos, Left Hand! surffisher (196), Raleigh, North Carolina, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Oct 1, 2007 Pours brilliant copper with a solid stand of off-white head. Aroma is fairly sweet with lightly toasted malts and some noble hops (especially on the pour) imparting some nice cherry and oaky notes. Flavor is mild and pleasant with a soft, clean lightly toasted maltiness. Moderately dry throughout, but moreso in the finish. Body is rather light, but the mouthfeel is smooth with medium light carbonation. This is a really easy drinker and pretty solid style-wise. PattyBoy (302), North Liberty, Iowa, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 1, 2007 Poured orangey amber, tan head. Taste is malty, caramel, sweet. Light bitterness. Typical for style. CaptBier (302), Birmingham, Alabama, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 1, 2007 Bottle. Nice head. A little light for an oktoberfest. Aroma is mild moldy. Taste is deep, earthy and tastes like the hops were harvested too young and has a hint of mocha. Altogether, not a great showing from Left Hand. Ughsmash (4027), Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Sep 30, 2007 Bottled on 8/22/07. Poured clear medium orange with a grayish-beige head. The aroma picked up almost artificially-sweetened toasty caramel with herbal and dried leafy notes. The flavor had the same sweet caramel base with an almost sour herbal and medicinal bitterness surrounding the tongue.. otherwise sweet and pleasant enough. Light-medium bodied.. sour at a couple points, almost syrupy at others.. overall a decent flow and feel. Not a good Marzen, but not bad either. valpoaj (362), Valparaiso, Indiana, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Sep 28, 2007 Typical Oktoberfest pour...pleasant but unremarkable. Very sweet malty aroma. Good flavor...obvious malts, though sweeter than most. A bit high on carbonation, but not excessive...a good Marzen.
