Commercial Description:
This beer is available each autumn in celebration of the great Bavarian festival season. Brewed in late spring and cellared throughout the summer, our Oktoberfest is produced through traditional methods as it has been for centuries in Germany, This copper-hued lager owes its rich malt flavor to a generous combination of select Vienna and Munich malts. Cool, open-fermentation develops a subtle elegance and drinkability suited to any festive occasion.

This might not be terrible on its own, but side by side with real German marzens, it is terrible and nearly undrinkable. Metal and grass in the aroma, and more of the same in the flavor. Orange with a tall white head, making the appearance its best quality.

Very fresh aroma, which is to be expected since it just came out and Colorado is close by. Not much malt in the nose though. Beautiful copper color with a light brown head. Typical head retention for an Oktoberfest, however excellent lacing. More sucrose than maltose taste, not much else. Chewy and full-bodied.

On Draft @ Sunset Grill with the Mad_Indian. Pours iced tea colored with an average size white head. Aroma of caramel, sweetness, and slight toast. The flavor is sweet, caramel, lightly toasted, with a somewhat thin and watery body.

Pours out light copper/orange color with a moderate white head. Aroma is malty with slight caramel. Slightly watery mouthfeel. Overall I don’t really like this style, but this was rather drinkable.

Pours amber with a white head. Smells of pepper, caramel, some citrus. Tastes of caramel, pepper, spice, some tea, biscuits. Mouthfeel is slick and oily with a sweet finish. Closer to a German Oktoberfest than many of the other American examples I’ve tried.

Sampled with Stegosaurus during our second Boston Tour. Served at Sunset Grill. Clear copper pour with mild malt aroma. Thin in body and taste. There was a mild bitter hop finish but I was not impressed.

Copper color with a thin head. Caramel aroma. The caramel turns slightly sour in the taste. A bit of corn and grain. Kinda blah.
