Personally I prefer a bit more roasty dryness. Good carbonation. Copper colored amber hue like the description says. Nice finish although a bit sweet. Tmoney99 (4777), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 4, 2007 Bottle. Poured dark amber color with an average frothy off-white head that was mostly lasting with good lacing. Moderate toasted sweet malt aroma. Medium body. Medium balanced flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration. ChainGangGuy (2592), Kennesaw, Georgia, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 3, 2007 Appearance: Pours a deep copper body with a small, white head.
Smell: Bready, caramel malt aroma with a touch of earthiness. There’s also something else lurking in the aroma, something elusive...
Taste: Slightly sweet caramel malt flavor. Vague breadiness. Spicy hop presence adds crispness and a mild bitterness. And again there’s that odd, subtle aspect from the aroma which now creeps into the finish. It’s vaguely vegetal.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Moderate carbonation.
Drinkability: Even excluding that odd quality in the aroma and taste, it would still be only average, at best. thegreenrooster (1842), St.louis, Missouri, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Sep 2, 2007 Pour is a brown with a large white head. Aroma is very bready and spice like a nutmeg. Flavor is a bit off. Very watery with a bit of the spice coming through. Not a real good rep of the style. CheersMate1 (805), Atlanta, Georgia, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 2, 2007 Bottle has been updated with a pretty nice looking design. The beer is a great caramel looking color. The head looks okay, but definitely fades away fast. The beer has a decent aroma. I smell a slight buttery/malty smell. There is a slight hop aroma coming off of the beer. Thi s beer has a very malty aroma. It is coming through even more so as the beer warms up. The beer has an odd malty taste. The malts are decent, and have a caramel and butter taste. The hops are decent but they don’t make up a big part of the taste. This beer has a decent malt aroma and flavor, with a hint of hop aroma and hop bitterness. Decent brew. Somewhat smooth and creamy. kp (8500), Woodstock, Georgia, USA

Aroma is of toasted malts, grains, herbs, and some floral hops. Flavor is overbearing with the toasted malts and grain. Finish is herbal with some floral hops but not that much. Not much of a lingering flavor and is medium bodied.
