Commercial Description:
This beer is available each autumn in celebration of the great Bavarian festival season. Brewed in late spring and cellared throughout the summer, our Oktoberfest is produced through traditional methods as it has been for centuries in Germany, This copper-hued lager owes its rich malt flavor to a generous combination of select Vienna and Munich malts. Cool, open-fermentation develops a subtle elegance and drinkability suited to any festive occasion.

OK ... I’m starting to think that this is what an Oktoberfest tastes like, and I don’t love it. Great clear copper pour with a moderate tan head that vanishes immediately, leaving no lace. Taste of caramel and spice (nice), malts (nice), and some strange fruity / vegetable aftertaste that I don’t care for at all. Smooth and round in the mouth, but almost dead feel ... very little carbonation.

Bottle... Clear copper lager with a small, tight, off-white head that’s gone in a flash. Toasted nuts and caramel nose. Caramel-sweet flavor with decent hop crispness and bitterness to keep things nearly balanced. Medium-bodied with a milky mouthfeel and moderate carbonation. Finishes lightly sweet; bordering on crisp.

12 oz. bottle. Had a malty sweet and spicy aromas to it. Amber/orange body color with decent head. Flavor had a mild to medium spice bitterness that was balanced out with some sweet malt. Left a cherry tomatto aftertaste on the palate. Decent brew.
