| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Aug 15, 2009 Enjoyed at Ciceros. Pours copper color with a small tan head. That head never changed throughout. Not a big aroma but sweet malt and just a hint of spice. Flavor was very much malt based with some fainter hops and light spice. Feel was very thick and active in the mouth. drowland (1410), Tallahassee, Florida, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Aug 13, 2009 Not bad, but not my favorite for this style. The finish hints at diaceteyl and overall it’s a bit too bitter for me and missing that big malt backbone you’d hope for. unclemike (834), Ft. Riley, Kansas, USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Feb 5, 2009 (Bottle) Amber colour with frothy, beige head leaving traces of lacing. Malty, slightly fruity nose with caramel, syrupy bread, citrus, orange peel and toffee. Malty, spicy taste with bread, orange peel, toffee and citrussy hops. Medium body, not overly sweet, turns drier in a medium bitter finish with spicy, citrussy hops. Nice and well balanced, somewhere in between the classic German oktoberfestbeers and the hoppier, darker American versions. Nice one.
