Commercial Description:
This beer is available each autumn in celebration of the great Bavarian festival season. Brewed in late spring and cellared throughout the summer, our Oktoberfest is produced through traditional methods as it has been for centuries in Germany, This copper-hued lager owes its rich malt flavor to a generous combination of select Vienna and Munich malts. Cool, open-fermentation develops a subtle elegance and drinkability suited to any festive occasion.

(Bottle) Amber colour with frothy, beige head leaving traces of lacing. Malty, slightly fruity nose with caramel, syrupy bread, citrus, orange peel and toffee. Malty, spicy taste with bread, orange peel, toffee and citrussy hops. Medium body, not overly sweet, turns drier in a medium bitter finish with spicy, citrussy hops. Nice and well balanced, somewhere in between the classic German oktoberfestbeers and the hoppier, darker American versions. Nice one.

Pours with a golden, copper color with a very insignificant head. This beer seems undercarbed for the style. That said the taste is slight caramel with basically no hops to it. Finishes very clean and is a very drinkable brew. Overall nice for a lager, as I am normally an ale drinker.

Reddish orange color with a medium tan head. Aroma of rye with a hint of caramel, flavor is more of the same and is moderately malty and slightly dry with a light fruitiness to it.

Bottle. Pour was medium orange/amber with an off white head. Aroma was light sweet malt and spicy hops. Flavor is sweet malt at first but moves to a strong green tea flavor. Medium to low hop character. Not really what I see an octoberfest as but not a bad brew.

Bottle. Well, it’s a little bit past Oktoberfest season, but I had a bunch of leftover brews that needed consuming. Pours a deep brown almost orange color. Lots of carbonation. Rich flavored German malts and a nice Bavarian hop bite to finish it off. A nice level of sweetness in the middle. Medium bodied. Solid, one of the better Marzen beers I’ve had.

Clear medium amber color with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, straw, keller, caramel notes. Flavor is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [260908]

Pours a nearly-clear bronze with a thin off-white head. On the nose are sweet, doughy Munich malt, sugar and light floral hops. Light to medium-bodied with a slick mouthfeel and a mildly astringent and metallic finish. The flavor follows the nose with bready Munich malt backed by fruity, almost herbal, hops. This is a fairly solid O-Fest, although it’s a tad rough at the finish. Overall, it’s not too shabby for the style.
