Bottle. Gold color with a big foamy head. Hop and barley aroma that is also sort of earthy and musty. Light palate. Flavor starts out like a lager with a kick at the end.

From Bottleworks in Seattle, WA--Poured a shiny, glowing, golden with tinges of red (not much). Saazy, hoppy, sweet, grassy, candyish. A bit one dimensional, but very sessionable.

I had an old bottle dated 7/25/07. So it already has that and the fact that I’m not a huge pils fan going against it. Clear yellow pour, bubbly two finger white head and even some nice lacing. Typical pils nose, slight skunking, pils malt and hop aroma. Tastes no worse than many European imported pils that get to the states skunky like Budvar. Dry pils maltiness, good balancing hop finish. Wnough of a bite to pinch the finish and no skunk in the taste. Surprisingly good, has held up very well over a year. I should try a fresh bottle.

Clear light golden, pretty much straw in color with a medium off white head, nice lacing. Aroma of earthy noble hops and pils malt, very clean. Taste is dry with pilsner malt, a bit of noble hops, sweetness is very light, body is on the lighter side. Finishes with some grassy hop bitterness. Very clean, well made, IMO a bit better than the ratings would indicate.

Bottle from D&J Liquor in St. Louis, MO. Gold color with a very slight white head. Aroma is mostly grassy hop. Medium body with slightly biting frothy creamy carbonation. Flavor is nicely spicy hop over a bit of bread. It’s very clean, it finishes nicely bitter. It fits the (German) style.

Pours golden from 12 oz bottle, with an effervescent body and mostly receding off-white head. Aroma of Saaz, slightly stinky, cheesy hop notes, with other notes of grass and hay. Flavour was of an average pils, a little better than any macro pilsner. and has a small metallic taste to it though and a little in the aroma as well. Overall an OK beer, but not exactly a knock out.
