Mostly orange peel in the nose, accompanied by some lemon zest, grass and more citrus with a nice dry finish. Reminds me of living in Germany for a year. Very true to the style and delightfully drinkable. Will come back to this one. BBB63 (4274), La Porte, Indiana, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 14, 2007 Bottle and served in standard pint glass: Pale gold hue with fizzy head and some lace. The aroma has notes of grassy and herbal hops, cardboard, biscuity malt and a hint of apple ester. The taste is straight forward, soft malt and light handed bitterness with a hint of acidity. A touch of hay and grain but nothing to offstandish. The mouth feel is sprite and refreshing. Good enough for the style but still would like a touch more zip. hopdog (5627), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA

Aromas of grass, spicey, and citrus. Tastes of grass, same peppery spiciness, citrus, and grains. Quake1028 (633), Tampa, Florida, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 6, 2007 12oz bottle. New to Florida. Yellow body that glows golden at some angles. Small white head, loosely packed, a collection of bubbles and some foam. No retention or lacing to speak of. Aromas of hops, citrus fruits, grassy fields, grains and malt. Flavor is very similar, with a nice citrus fruit accent to everything. Lively carbonation. Medium bodied, light-med astringency. Finish is lengthy, crisp and bitter. Very refreshing beer. Good to have Left Hand back in this area, even if this isn’t one of their stronger offerings. clueo (112), Pennsylvania, USA

| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Nov 21, 2007 12 oz. bottle, "Bottled on 05/01/07" And this one shows its age. Bit of a skunk smell upon opening, under an otherwise healthy German hop character. Pours very pale by craft brew standards, with a nice puffy white head. Taste brings up a good dose of Saaz (or its kin), with a very light pale malt behind it. Luckily, there are no off tastes from any adjuncts to spoil a delicate pils character. Unfortunately, some of the oxidation comes back to haunt the taste. Otherwise, a good light example of the style. That’s what I get for pulling old bottles off the single bottle shelf. Light but distinct German malt grain in the aroma, little wisps of noble hop, taste is that wonderful bready German malt /noble hop combination that seems so satisfying lately. Probaly what the early macros tasted like
