Clumps of lace. Mild cereal aromas, slightly toasty, hay bale, wet cut oats. Inviting, reminds of Bitburger right away. Medium bodied, creamy eff, mildly dry finish. Lacking in the end; not sufficiently dry or final. Flavors in keeping with aromas, soft but sweet grains, not seemingly oxidized, not particularly hoppy at any point. About a notch below a generic brewpub pils, which is nothing to write home about. JK (2967), Richfield, Minnesota, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Feb 6, 2007 I thought it was more Czech than German in character. Crisp and clean with considerable hops presence. Aroma has some corn, but it works. Refreshing. Clear gold color and a substantial white head. alobar (1051), Harleysville, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Feb 5, 2007 No head. Pours a clear straw yellow color. Smells of bitter malts and bread. Taste is well-balanced for a type of beer I usually have no interest in. Some bitterness, but without the edge that comes with most pilsners. joebrew (608), Farewell Minny; Hello Puyallup, Washington, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Feb 5, 2007 Pours a clear golden color with a small white head. Very biscuity aroma as well as some earthy hints as well. The flavor is lightly carbonated and has a great grainy feel to it. A very solid pils. tbookman (618), Ephrata, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Feb 1, 2007 Very clear yellowish color - fair amount of carbonation and a medium uneven head. Basically a typical pils - decent crisp flavors, fairly well balanced but weak on the Saaz-type hoppy crunch of a good German pils (see Stoudts). | 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jan 23, 2007 Bottle. Pours cloudy yellow with ample head. Aroma is corn syrup and hoppy malt. Floral honey flavor with a hint of grass. Nicely coating mouthfeel. Pretty good Pilsner, if you ask me. And since you’re reading this, you did. So there. ryderbik (10), Junction City, Kansas, USA
