| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 11/20 | May 15, 2006 Multicolored brown with a large, dense sponge of a light tan head. Nice aroma of toasty caramel malt, dark fruits, grain, and a bit of yeast. Flavor is a let down after the pleasant aroma. Same characters just turned down in volume. Medium, balanced palate. Easy to drink, but nothing impressive. Goosinator was much better. npdempse (931), St. Petersburg, Florida, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | May 5, 2006 Cloudy red/brown, decent sized tan head that doesn’t last long. Nice aroma--chocolate/carob overlaying dense rye bread. Wonderful flavor--like a dense 12 grain bread with chocolatey notes and some notable hop bitterness balancing things out. | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Apr 19, 2006 Frothy off-white head over a murky, chestnut colored body.
Toasty malt aroma, peppery.
Lightly sweet with supportive but subdued hops as you would look for in a good Bock.
Medium bodied with a smooth delivery. BeerHawk (1175), Huntsville, Alabama, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Mar 2, 2006 Pours a hazy golden amber color. Aromas of dark malts, yeasty notes, fruit, and alcohol. Flavor is alcoholic fruit and spice with a bittersweet finish. Good beer, just not something I would have often. jpm30 (1588), East Central, Georgia, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jan 27, 2006 From a 750 ml. green bottle with a blurb about the bock on the side of the bottle and no freshness date for this retired beer. Made a very good appearance, poured a hazy milk chocolate brown with a large creamy pale tan head with good retention and a fair amount of sticking. Had a very rye malt aroma with traces of dark ripe fruits, a spicy herbal hoppiness, an underlining breadiness and whiffs of smoky, sweet alcohol. Good carbonation and a smooth full bodied mouth feel, good drinkability. Taste at first was a big rye maltiness, followed by a herbal hoppiness and a nutty yeastiness and a dry malty finish.
