| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Apr 11, 2008 Aroma is strong and richly malty with some fruity undertones. It pours a dark golden brown with a thick, fluffy head that sticks around for a bit. Flavor has a good balance of malt and hops, and the hop bitterness is not overwhelming, but it is not subtle either. This ale is lively in one’s mouth and smooth going down the hatch. | 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 19/20 | Apr 9, 2008 This caught me off guard as I was expecting grapefruit rind style bitter but was very satisfied with the smooth mild I’d say sweetness over bitter. The maltiness iS spot on and iS carbonated well. The head iS small and the color when poured iS a nice red hue. The aroma iS mellow and sweet pretty much like the brew itself. Overall this iS what I was looking for and not an over bitter brew. On the side this brew iS good cold but iS better half way through as it warms up slightly. graham515 (435), Houston, Texas, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Apr 8, 2008 Pours a ruby color into the glass with small head. Aroma is malty with some fruitiness to it. The flavor of this beer is mild with some fruity flavors coming through. Overall this beer is a great session drinker. I gotta say though, the name "sawtooth" made me think I was getting something with a little more punch. Maybe I simply missed the commercial description on the 6 pack, but I don’t think there was anything there to let you know what you were getting. Also, I had some underfilled bottles. | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Apr 7, 2008 Bottled at Palm Tavern. Pretty good bitter. Hard to see color as it was bottled with no glass to use. Reminded me of everything I wish Fat Tire was.
