| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 4, 2007 A sweet malty and hoppy aroma. I love the subtle sweet aroma it is actually a nice touch to a Premium Bitter beer. The aroma is not really strong, so that requires the drinker to take a strong whiff. I am also noticing a slight caramel smell. Decent aroma I’d say. The beer also has the appearance of caramel. I really like the dark color it is a nice touch, but nothing amazing. A weak flavor if you ask me. It has the sweet taste and hop flavor that were in the aroma, but it does provide a strong taste. Sweet before taste and a bitter hoppy after taste that reminds me of a pale lage hop. Kind of weird but the taste is mediocre. A smooth beer. The palate is decent. The beer overall is good, but I wouldn’t drink it on a regular basis for the hops or for the sweet flavor. Okay beer. larsniclas (3390), Gothenburg, Sweden

Deep clear amber, medium fluffy off-white head. Caramelly and slightly earthy malt aroma, with floral and citric hops. Light to medium bodied with soft carbonation. Lingering bitterness. A good try at an English style ale, but rather a Special Bitter than an ESB. wcampbell (584), Central, South Carolina, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 28, 2007 Balanced beer. Good flavor, but not enough of it. Not enough hops for a good bitter or ale. Light bodied and very drinkable.
